Sisal Fibre Export Sales
In 2010, sisal fibre exports were 11,558 tons worth US$ 10.38 million compared to 8,239 tons worth US$ 6.79 million sold in 2009.
Sisal Fibre Local Sales
Sisal fibre sold to the domestic markets in 2010 was 12,087 tons worth T.Shs. 11.78 billion compared to 12,880 tons worth T.Shs. 10.08 billion sold in 2009.
Sisal Products Export Sales
In 2010 the industry managed to export 6,408 tons of sisal products worth US$ 8.31million while in 2009 exports were 5,349 tons of sisal products worth US$ 6.9 million.
Sisal Products Local Sales
The industry sold 6,146 tons of sisal products locally worth T.Shs. 10.0 billion in 2010 whereas for year 2009 sales were 4,494 tons worth T.Shs. 7.81 billion.
Sisal Fibre Production
The industry produced 24,677 tons of fibre compared to 21,057 tons produced during the same period in 2009. Also 1,566 hectares were planted compared to 1,397 hectares planted in 2009.
